In Rajasthan

The dry climate in Bikaner works is conducive to cultivation of produce such as lentils, corn, and spices. No wonder that the city is famous for savoury snacks such as papad, pakodi and the like, all of which are made from powdered lentils.

SUNRISE papads (pappadums), which are both hand-rolled and machine-rolled, are made using raw material of the highest quality. The papad manufacturing unit in Bikaner has been awarded the HACCP, ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 22000 certifications.

Rajasthan is the second largest spice producing state in India. It is also among the largest producers of edible oils in India and the second largest producer of oilseeds. And Jaipur is a manufacturing hub for these products.

The Sunrise plant in Jaipur, with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 22000 certifications, is a multi-product unit that makes mustard oil, mustard powder, hing, whole spices etc. The plant has also made noteworthy breakthroughs in producing mustard powder – the first in the country to do so – and also in manufacturing processes of whole spices.

The top-notch infrastructure at the plant ensures that the entire manufacturing process is quality-consistent and glitch-free.

All raw materials that come to the Jaipur plant are put through automatic seed-spice cleaning machines, which reduce processing time and ensure high quality. A de-stoner is then used to clean the raw materials which may sometimes contain stones, metal, ash, filth or waste.

A gravity separator comes into play next to separate damaged, light weight, insect-infested and broken seeds from good ones, which then are hand-picked to ensure complete purity.

The products then undergo ETO Sterilization, which entails the use of Ethylene Oxide gas to ensure that they are free from pests, insects and other potentially harmful elements.

The packaging process at the plant starts immediately after fumigation and sterilization. This minimizes the possibility of contamination from atmospheric impurities. Depending upon the type and characteristics of products, the packing is done using automatic machines.

Our products are agmarked, microbiologically safe and conform to the food laws of different countries.

A packaging design win for the brand is the fact that all our products come in packets with a transparent window so the consumers can see the product before they buy them.
